Health, Safety and Professional Development Update

Sphion Ltd is committed to maintaining high standards of health, safety and professional competence across all aspects of our work in the built environment.

As part of our continuing professional development, members of the Sphion team have previously completed industry-recognised training provided by the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB), including the “Setting up and operating a safe construction site” e-learning programme introduced during the COVID-19 period.

​

While the course was developed in response to the pandemic, its content remains relevant to wider site management principles, including:

• hazard awareness and risk management

• site planning and access arrangements

• site facilities, welfare and cleaning regimes

• emergency procedures

• protecting the wider community

This training formed part of our broader approach to understanding health, safety and environmental responsibilities on construction sites and continues to inform our professional judgement when advising on site operations and compliance.

Sphion Ltd continues to monitor current guidance issued by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and relevant industry bodies, and we ensure that advice provided to clients reflects current legislation and best practice, including the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.

Where we are appointed in connection with construction projects, we recommend that clients, contractors and site managers ensure that risk assessments and method statements are kept up to date and proportionate to the specific risks present on their sites.
